Tammy (she/her/hers)
Tammy started off her adventure in the field of social work roughly twenty five years ago. Now, she is part of The Healing Village, doing what is meant for her as a Licensed Master of Social Work.
Tammy has a long history working alongside teens connecting through all the complexities of that experience as well as to the whole family unit (children, youth, & adults). Using techniques like Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) she supports clients through the complexities of trauma responses, moving toward recovery.
She engages with children through fun and interactive ways that support growth, learning, and practicing change. Tammy believes that the parent is also part of the practice of change. Behaviors are one way your child communicates to you. What is your child trying to say?
Tammy is looking forward to providing group opportunities for our clients and community to grow and connect together.
Tammy notes: "I know we are one thing, we are human… but we are many parts of that one thing. We are mind, body, soul. I am so happy you are here. I would like to help you find balance to all those parts. Let’s create change together."
