The Healing Village (founded Jan. 2024) was created by therapists who sought to connect within their community using trauma informed care. The Healing Village highlights a space where people are welcomed and supported through their journey of healing by producing a safe and compassionate onboarding process for clients. Tammy Walker specializes in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). ART targets imagery and sensations by desensitization, reconsolidation, and changing the physical response. Without sharing the details, clients walk through a script that enables visualization to rewrite the memory being stored. Similarly to EMDR, rapid eye movements are used to activate deep brain processing, but without the need to explore sensitive details out loud ART focuses on the desired outcome.
ART can be used with:
trauma
anxiety
depression
phobias
OCD
Grief and more!
The Healing Village in the community
